A PROGRAM FOR GIRLS AGED 8-16

Empowering Girls. Building Leaders. Changing Communities.

A Woman’s Way presents The ARTIS Project — a transformative journey for girls aged 8–16 in South Carolina’s Lowcountry.

The ARTIS Project is a 9-month empowerment and leadership program for girls aged 8–16 in Hampton, Jasper, and Beaufort Counties. Through mentorship, workshops, and service projects, girls build confidence, self-esteem, and a passion for community engagement.

The ARTIS Project seeks to combat the social pressures, negative media portrayals, academic stress, and a lack of representation in leadership roles that often contribute to feelings of inadequacy, low self-esteem, and disengagement in today’s young girls.

The program provides a safe and supportive environment where girls cultivate a strong sense of self-worth through the arts and exercises developed to uncover each individuals core values and understand the strength inherent in their own lineage. These exercises promote self-discovery, collaboration, and public speaking which are integral components empowering them to become confident leaders within their communities and in the wider world.
